Over the mountain. This climber got distracted at the top!
We saw a brush fire on the way to gym isn’t it perfect that gym’s theme is fire fighters today! Nolan’s pretty stoked!
I go to bed at night and toss and turn. I flip and flop. I’m too hot or too cold like a bad Katy Perry song! Then come 7 I finally find a comfortable spot and it’s time to get up! My rear is dragging!
I end up crashing with Nolan at nap most days! Hooray for third trimester sleep! Maybe I’ll sleep on the beach this weekend?
Watching the clouds from a double slide is now a thing.
As previously mentioned, I’m on the lookout for wide shoes that Nolan can slip on by himself to go out to the sandbox or play in while playing with water. We chose to get these shoes last night too! Nolan is able to put them on by himself to go out to the sandbox. I’ve got a washer top full of shoes that are drying from wearing in the rain last week. I’m hoping that these shoes will help that problem too!
We’ve still got tennis shoes for long walks and bike rides, but at least if he wants to go out to the patio he can slip these on by himself while we continue to practice putting on tennis shoes.
Nolan’s new rain boots but he picked out yellow! We know that from when Nolan had therapy and was evaluated that his adaptive and self help skills would be an area that he would struggle with. I’ve started looking into shoes that he can easily put on himself. Tricky thing is that Nolan has a wide foot and there are only a limited number of companies that make shoes for kids in wide.
We love Stride Rite! The shoes hold up and I feel like they provide good structure so that he can walk correctly. Stride Rite shoes are expensive and difficult for Nolan to put on by himself. We’ve been working with him to take the shoes off by himself.
I’m happy to report that these Croc boots are wide enough for Nolan and he can put them on by himself. He also seems to be able to run in them which is a huge plus and a concern of mine for buying Crocs.
